Day 58

Snatch 5 sets of 2. I hit 155, 165, 185, 195, and missed two at 195 so I took a break and then hit 195 for 1.

Cleans high hang and knee hang 5 sets of 2. Started at 225 and eventually hit 245.

Jerks from the block 5 sets of 2. Started at 205 and eventually hit 255 for 1 but couldn’t hit the 2nd. I think the blocks were too high for my new technique.

Back squat 3 sets of 5 at 325.

Time cap of 14 minutes. At 11:29 I finished the cleans. I failed over and over again on the bar trying to get a muscle up. One of the most frustrating moments I can remember during a workout. I should have done some muscle ups during my warmup to get the movement down. I really didn’t feel that tired I just couldn’t get the movement right.

Day 56

Snatch pull hang snatch 2 + 1 at 155, 165, 175, 185, 195

Clean and jerk 10 sets of 1. Started at 185 and eventually did about 4-5 sets at 245. Changed a little bit of my technique which in the long run should pay off but it will take some time to get used to it.

Front squat 3 sets of 5 at 235, 285, 285

8 minute amrap. Open workout 14.3
10 dead lifts at 135
15 box jumps
15 dead lifts at 185
15 box jumps
20 dead lifts at 225

I did pretty bad on this one and ended with 120 reps.

Day 55

Snatch 1 x 10 started at 145 and worked up to 195. I missed a couple at 195 and then hit my last two. I’m really focusing on getting consistent between the 185 to 205 range so I’m not to worried about setting PR’s right now.

Clean 2 pulls and 1 hang from the knee for 5 sets. I hit a hang PR today of 265.

Push press 3 sets of 5. First set was 205 and second set was a PR 5RM at 215. On the last set I hit 4 but failed on the 5th at 215.

Back squat 3 sets of 5 at 325, 325, and 305.

Session 2
Good old Fran 21-15-9 of thrusters at 95 and pull ups. I PR’d and got a 3:02. It was the first time I was able to go unbroken on every set.

Day 54

40 GHD situps, 20 yard farmer carry, 40 box jumps, 400 meter run
30 GHD, 20 farmer carry, 30 box, 400 run
20 GHD, 20 Farmer, 30 box, 400 run

Day 53

Hang snatch hip and knee 1 + 1 at 145 for 5 sets
Hang clean hip and knee 1 + 1 at 185 for 5 sets

Day 51

Snatch 5 sets of 2 at 145
Clean and jerk 5 sets of 2 at 185

18 Minute AMRAP of 15 box jumps at 24in, 12 push press at 115, and 9 toes to bar. I completed just over 8 rounds which was 300 reps.

Day 50

Snatch pull + hang snatch for 5 sets at 145
Push press 3 sets of 5 at 145
Dead lift 3 sets of 5 at 265

10 minute AMRAP of 5 chest to bar pull-ups, 10 dumbbell burpee over box at 45 pounds, and 20 double unders. I think I got through 4 rounds and 15 reps.

Day 49

Clean and jerk 1 x 10 at 175
Bench press 5 x 5 at 255 and 245

10 minute AMRAP 30 kettle bell swings 53 pounds, 15 wall balls 20 pounds, and 5 handstand pushups.
